Lobaki visited San Juan County, Utah on a two-fold mission. Firstly, to visit the Whitehorse High School in Montezuma Creek and introduce the students and faculty to the wonder and opportunity of Virtual Reality. Everyone experienced a VR game created over the summer by students in Clarksdale, MS. The principal and students came out of the experience with a definitive idea of creating a VR Academy at Whitehorse High School.
The second aspect of the mission was to review existing network structures within a large geographical area and try to envisage how affordable high-speed broadband could be deployed to homes in the region. We know that high-speed internet access is a vital part of bringing collaborative Virtual Reality applications to rural regions of the United States.
